Tom’s Studio is a little bit different to most pen makers. The first pen designed by Tom was inspired by his wife, Gemma, an avid calligrapher who used plastic mass-produced calligraphy pens which didn’t reflect the quality of her work. He decided to take matters into his own hands. Combining his experience as a product designer and his background in furniture along with his experience working in a blacksmith’s forge, he was able to manufacture a new pen for her. Tom’s ideas for the stationery world took off from there; he founded Tom’s Studio and has been using his creativity to create high quality unique pens and accessories ever since.
The Lumos Pro fineliner pen comes equipped to hold two different tips, one on each end – it’s up to you which tips you choose.
To reveal the second tip, unscrew the barrel around half way down flip it around and screw it back on, then put the cap on the other end and you’ve got another pen in your pen!
The barrel is made from solid aluminium and brass using precision CNC lathes, and each pen is designed to last a lifetime. The Lumos is available in a range of colours. Each pen is dip-dyed by hand and the bead-blasted finish gives the pen a good level of grip while still maintaining a satin sheen.
Oh.. did we say you can use fountain pen ink with it too?
To refill: Unscrew the tip and remove the fabric ink cartridge, submerge it in your ink of choice and you’re good to go!
Supplied with a full set of tips and a small bottle (3ml) of black ink in a simple card gift box.
