Moleskine’s Studio Collection is a range of notebooks featuring the artwork of six different international artists, each with their own particular style and outlook on life.
Jon Koko is a Swedish artist whose pictures explore the human condition. His limited palette and muted colours encourage a sense of calm and tranquillity. He says, ‘I want to create work that evokes pleasure and a longing for something beyond the ordinary.’
This hard-covered notdebook features artwork entitled ‘Artery River’, especially chosen by Jon for Moleskine. It also features on the fly leaves and on the included set of stickers. The rounded corners of the notebook are less likely to get damaged, it opens out flat on a desk making it easier to use, and an elastic closure keeps everything together. There is a choice of page layout, and the ivory-coloured paper is 100gsm and acid-free. A fabric page ribbon will mark your place.
At the front of the notebook is a short interview with the artist, and the expandable pocket on the inside back cover contains the aforementioned stickers and a history of Moleskine. It’s presented in a clear-fronted box which can be reused as a picture frame: it even has a couple of holes on the back to make hanging it a cinch! And the package also contains a print of the artwork with the artist and its title.
Notebook measures 130mm x 210mm. All Moleskine products are FSC-certified.
